Du Guiping, Doctor of Literature, Changjiang Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education, Longjiang Professor. She is also the Expert of the Discipline of Chinese for the National Social Science Committee, and enlisted in “New Century Talent Programme” by the Ministry of Education.

She has served as Vice Chair of the Committee of Chinese Drama Studies, Vice Chair of the Committee of Traditional Chinese Theatre Studies, Counselor of the Committee of Chinese Modern Literature, Counselor of Ming Literature Committee, Counselor of Liao and Jin Literature Committee, and Counselor of the Committee of Honglou Meng studies.

She has published more than sixty papers in top academic journals such as Wenxue pinglun, Wenyi yanjiu, Wenxue yichan and Wenxian. She has also published several monographs on Ming and Qing drama and prose studies. She has served as Chief Editor of several academic journals. She has chaired nine scholarly projects granted by the National Social Science Committee, the Ministry of Education, and Heilongjiang Social Science Committee. Now she is the chair of two major projects: “Collectanea of Qing Individual Collections” and “The Yuan Inspiration of Ming-Qing Drama Studies”.
